about me and ben

My name is Amy and I'm passionate about animals and their welfare.

I adopted my first dog, my old boy Ben, seven years ago and ever since my life has been all about my adventures with him. My beloved boy at the grand old age of 17 went to stay in doggy heaven but I wanted him to leave his legacy as he completely changed my life for the better, hence, Adventures With Ben was born.

His successor, my next adoptee, a now five year old black labrador/springer cross called Asher has now come to live with me and we've already enjoyed 3 year togethers, continuing with our fabulous adventures. In spring 2016, Asher's baby sister, an English Springer Spaniel named Willow also joined our family. My first puppy, I've loved every minute of raising her and she has grown into a truly wonderful dog. My little pocket rocket!

I'm currently studying for a Diploma in Canine Psychology with The British College of Canine Studies so I've spent considerable time studying and reading about dog psychology and pack behaviour and practising techniques on plenty of friends' dogs! All so far so good and I'm looking forward to expanding into behavioural work too when I achieve my qualification.
